The small luxury hotel with 15 rooms and 7 suites is located on the dramatic Hook Peninsula on Ireland’s south coast. Owned and operated by husband and wife team Kevin & Catherine Dundon, Dunbrody reflects their joint passion for excellence in all areas - fine food and friendly relaxed service combined with luxury accommodations all within the centuries-old walls of this beautiful Georgian property.

Set in 300 acres of beautiful parkland, Dunbrody House in an enchantingly intimate 1830s Georgian manor located near the small fishing village of Arthurstonw on County Wexford south coast. Ancestral home to seven generations of the the Chichester Family, the house has a long and well-established tradition of hospitality. A warm reception awaits you here at Dunbrody - an oasis of tranquility located on the dramatic Hook Peninsula.

Fresh flowers, crackling turf fires in period fireplaces, relaxed elegance... Dunbrody is a charming small hotel with a character and atmosphere all of its own. Stroll the woodland walks, explore the kitchen garden or drop in on Delago the pot-bellied pig, feed the chickens or just lounge away the afternoon with a good book on the sunny terrace, nodding off now and again.

Spacious and elegantly decorated, all of our bedrooms and suites are individually styled yet offer the same standards and amenities - CD/DVD players, Lemon Verbena toiletries in all the bathrooms, fluffy bathrobes, fresh cottons and fine furnishings.

We have four different room categories, the top being suites, followed by deluxe and superior rooms all of which are south-facing, located at the front of the house over-looking the gardens. We also have a small number of standard rooms which over-look the cookery school, spa and car park. Please ask if you have any special requirement vis-a-vis your room - twin beds, king size bed, sleigh bed etc and we will endeavour to meet your needs. For those seeking a bit more space with your own independence an ideal option may be the Lodge - set in its own courtyard offering 3 bedrooms, formal sitting room with original features such as the high ceiling, oak floors and marble fireplace.
Dunbrody has also put a new twist on luxury pampering with its boutique spa. All treatments, services and products have been exclusively designed by wellbeing anti-aging experts Elemis in London and organic USPA from Australia to enhance the luxurious hotel environment and offer guests a deeply indulgent experience. Not just for residents, you can also come and just book individual treatments or splash out on a half day or full day spa package.

Dunbrody cookery school offers a wonderful choice of one and two day courses run by the very popular Edward Hayden. Details of the new Spring and Summer programme are now available and the new week long Masterclass is already in demand so book early. Food is always a feature at Dunbrody and the return of the original Table d´Hote Menu has proved so popular we will continue this offering for Spring and Summer allowing for the hotel´s gardens to produce a daily selection of fruit, vegetables and herbs. Truffles are eagarly anticipated next year and will make Dunbrody the first Irish producer of year round truffles.
