Once the Prior‘s quarters, the Donatello Suite occupies a whole corner of the monastery, with views of Florence, the Arno Valley and the Italian garden. The sunlit sitting room, with an ornate corner fireplace, leads into an expansive bedroom with king-size bed, breakfast table and armchairs.

Michelangelo Suite
Our largest and most romantic, the Michelangelo Suite stretches the whole length of the façade of the hotel. Once the monastery library, it also served as Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte‘s headquarters in Florence. A dramatic stone fireplace dominates one of the walls in the spacious open-plan sleeping and sitting areas. It enjoys views over Florence, the Arno Valley and the Chianti hills.

Dramatically situated and exceptionally luxurious, Limonaia Suite is located in the convent’s former orangery—a separate building in the hotel‘s Italian gardens. With breathtaking views over Florence, the Limonaia Suite enjoys a prime position in one of the best hotels in Tuscany. A heated plunge pool and tinkling waterfall beckons in the leafy private garden. On request, this historic apartment can be converted to become the most glamorous luxury villa Tuscany has to offer. The main suite is connected to a second suite, linked by a staircase, and a third suite, accessed via the garden. It’s a unique haven for families and groups of friends, or for a special occasion, such as a wedding or exclusive party. Reservations for the Limonaia Suite (with a choice of either one, two or three bedrooms) can be made on request.
